FIFA banned Brazilian football confederation (CBF) president Marco Polo Del Nero from all football-related activity for life on Friday, after he was found guilty of receiving bribes.
The case against Del Nero involved bribes related to the Copa America, Copa Libertadores and Brazil Cup. Proven charges of unethical conduct against Del Nero included "bribery and corruption," "offering and accepting gifts and other benefits," and conflicts of loyalty, FIFA said.
